Camp Barakel offers your family 350 wooded acres including all the frontage on spring-fed Shear Lake. You may bring your own housing (42 campsites are available in our RV park) or you may stay in Barakel’s lodging. Those in the RV Park may do their own cooking or eat in the Dining Hall. We offer separate classes during each weekend’s Chapels for children from newborn through age eleven.

Fees • A deposit of $30 per person should accompany your family’s registration. Family Camp is $110/person for a cabin, lodge, or room and $90/person for the RV Park. Children are discounted $45 for ages 3–8 and there is no charge for children 2 and under.

We want the best possible weekend of camp for you. To help make that happen, here are some things we suggest you pack.
Please bring a Bible and notebook, towel, toiletries, casual clothing, swimsuit, comfortable walking shoes, warm jacket, rain gear, insect repellent, and—if you’re in a cabin or lodge—a sleeping bag or bedding for twin-sized bunk beds. You will also want to bring some spending money.
No pets please.
Our aim is for you to grow closer to the Lord this weekend, and hearing the Word of God taught is the primary way we accomplish this.
We expect that everyone will attend Chapel services and offer separate classes during each weekend’s Chapels for children from newborn through age eleven. Each group of children will be cared for by our own resident staff and carefully screened volunteers.
Housing for Family Camp is available in our cabins and lodges or in one of the 42 sites in our RV park. No pets please.
Our cabins and lodges feature twin-sized bunk beds and have private bathrooms for each living unit. For those staying in the RV Park, there is a 20 amp and 30 amp hookup at each site. There is also a pump station for water as well as a dump station. There is no direct water hookup on the campsites. There is a bathouse in the RV Park that does include showers. Please let us know of any medically-necessary dietary needs.
