Passionate proclaimers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Women who speak of His goodness and lovingkindness when we gather in the Chapel at Camp Barakel. They rise early to study the Bible. It’s their passion and it’s lived out when they leave their desk and enter into the lives of their families, neighbors, friends, and students. They are like fruitful vines. There is evidence of seeds taken root and thriving in the soil of their hearts. Their lives are marked by grace in relationships and hardships endured for the sake of Christ. This is the kind of woman you will hear when you come to a women’s event at Camp Barakel. They may not be famous but they are faithful.

Elizabeth McAdams
September 18-20, 2026.

Elizabeth is a Michigan native who has called Orlando home for the past six years. She serves as Director of Women in Ministry at Reformed Theological Seminary and Director of Children’s Ministry at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth and her husband, Rob, previously served on Barakel’s Resident Missionary Staff from 2015–2019. She is currently completing her M.Div. at RTS and will graduate next spring. Elizabeth and Rob enjoy life with their two elementary-aged children.

Jamie Gilbert
September 25-27, 2026.

Jamie has been married to her college sweetheart, Chuck, for 30 years and they have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. She is a member at Covenant Life Community Church where she and her husband lead their church's youth ministry with a dedication to tell the next generation “the glorious deeds of the Lord” (Ps. 78). Jamie's passion is helping women know God deeply through in-depth Bible study; she has served in women's ministry, teaching the Bible in some capacity for over 25 years. She recently graduated from Moody Theological Seminary with a Master's degree in Biblical Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going for walks, and grabbing a cup of coffee with a friend.

Jocelyn Kakkkuri
October 2-4, 2026.

Jocelyn Kakkuri serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at Five Points Community Church, where she is passionate about teaching the Word of God and equipping women to study Scripture for themselves. She has spoken at various churches for women’s events and mother-daughter teas, encouraging women to grow in their faith and confidence in God’s truth. Jocelyn’s heart for ministry is rooted in helping women engage deeply with Scripture in a practical and transformative way.

She is married to her husband Mark, and together they have four children, two of whom are married, with one still at home. In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys traveling and off-roading with Mark in their Jeep Wrangler. She also stays busy with their energetic one-year-old boxer puppy, Remi.

Katie Heath
October 9-11, 2026.

Katie has been involved in Christian ministry her whole life. She strives to share the truth of God’s Word and His unfailing love both in her life and her teaching. Her ministries include teaching at church in children's ministry, VBS, and Ladies Bible studies; camp ministry as a counselor and speaker; and 14 years as a Christian School 6th-grade teacher.

She and her husband Steve met at Cedarville College, where she graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Bible. They are empty nesters but are enjoying every moment they can with their three sons, one daughter, two daughters-in-law, and one grandson.

Katie is enjoying retirement, spending her time in church ministry, quilting, reading, gardening, and camping.
