God’s created world is a beautiful place, but the ethical landscape of the secular world is a barren and weary path. People long for the cool shade of Jesus, and we want Camp Barakel to be an oasis—providing shade and “Living Water.” Invite a friend, or come by yourself and be a friend. This event is designed for single people in the first decade after high school (though we welcome early marrieds and thirtysomethings too)

Fees • The fee is $ if you are a full-time college student, $ if you are not. $ of your fee should be sent with registration (with the balance due one week prior to the event).
Refunds • The deposit is refundable as long as we are notified at least one week prior to arrival. The remaining balance is always refundable if we are notified of a cancellation.
Everyone should bring a Bible, notebook, bedding for a twin-sized bunk bed, pillow, towel, toiletries, boots, gloves, and warm, casual clothing.
We check out skates, cross-country skis, and snowshoes, or you may bring your own if you’d like.
The hockey rink requires a helmet. We’ll have plenty, but you can bring your own.
Our aim is for you to grow closer to the Lord this weekend, and hearing the Word of God taught is the primary way we accomplish this in the Barakel setting.
We expect that everyone will attend Chapel services, and we’ll do our best to make them a highlight of your weekend.
Directions • We’re located 5 miles east of Fairview along M-72. A streetlight is suspended over the highway at our access road.

Check-in • Check-in begins on Friday at 6:00 pm. We’ll be waiting for you at the camp office (the first building on Barakel property).
If you experience a delay in your travels and will be arriving after 9:00 pm, please call to let us know. The office number is 989-848-2279.
Preview • The fun begins on Friday at 6:30 pm, when most activity areas open. No supper will be served on Friday evening, but we’ll enjoy hearty snacks at 8:45 pm. Our first Chapel will be at 9:30 pm. The rest of the weekend will include activity times, 3 more Chapels, and lots of great food. The last thing is an early lunch on Sunday at 11:30 am.
